good job real talk.
good job real talk.
Can I please fix the sound on this? Private Message me and I'll do it really quick for free. It's bugging the heck out of me.
You did a good job explaining this paradox. I for one happen to think it's a bunch of B.S. If we ever are able to go back in time, it would be to another time-line, and not the same one we're on.
Either way good job let me know and i'll fix your sound. it'll take about 10 mins.
Sure.... Thanks man. I'll inbox.
I imagine this would be hard to understand from the perspective of someone who is not already familiar with plato's AOTC. Although Plato's thoughts are still relevant to people living today, the setting he used is very outdated. These ideas however would be easier to explain if you put them into a contemporary setting. In fact it's a trope that has been used in film for many years. "They Live" and "The Matrix" come to mind. All and all, i think this is somewhat of a disservice to Plato. I am glad that you have the drive to try and explain these ideas, and I don't want you to be discouraged by this review. - Keep trying. and remember not everyone knows these stories or the philosophical intent behind them. - which means you're intentionally setting the difficulty level to very hard, and I kinda like that about this animation.
Yea, you're right, maybe i should've at leat changed the title of the video a little, thx for the review :D .
Ok, so I thought this was really cute, and I liked the animation for the most part. However, I felt as if our poor hero was cheated out of a proper ending. Your ability to make a likable character in an upbeat fashion like this is phenomenal. Almost too good, because I'm invested in closure now, but it's not there. I'm just left questioning a few things. notably, If these "purges" happen semi regularly, why did we catch our hero in the beginning so happy-go-lucky? Or why was she so late the second time if she didn't even make it off the bus? We're lead to believe this world you created is very prompt, with alarm clocks everywhere, and while I can grant our scatter brained protagonist goofing up once, I can't grant it a second time without a better reason. Finally, Who was the guy after the first "purge" ended? Where did he go? Needless to say, the confusion left me feeling sad for the hero, and unresolved, which I do not believe you intended
Nevertheless, great job.
So of course this is really good, but I wanted to comment on a couple of things.
1. The technique used throughout the animation where each scene begins ambiguously in perspective, usually to emphasis a literary device, was at first kind of annoying. However, it grew on me pretty fast. This animation uses that technique quite brazenly, yet with flawless resolve it doubles down as if to say "yeah, I do. So ?" In short, I want to recognize this animation as both unique and confident. Bold may be too strong of a word, but somewhere in that vicinity.
2. This is supposed to be a series, but unfortunately there are relatively few "hooks" that draw me into wanting a second helping... Or rather, the hooks it does have are weak, or executed awkwardly.
2.5.This animation is faced with a dilemma. On one hand, it's purposeful obscurity/mystery plays well with its gloomy dystopian themes. On the other, too much obscurity, especially in areas that would of otherwise been great for character development and/or fleshing out the world leaves this animation weaker in those areas. However, this is not unforgivable, and I sympathize with the choices made for the sake of such a creative direction taken here.
Excellent work.

"But misfortune has its uses; for, as our bodily frame would burst asunder if the pressure of the atmosphere was removed, so, if the lives of men were relieved of all need, hardship and adversity; if everything they took in hand were successful, they would be so swollen with arrogance that, though they might not burst, they would present the spectacle of unbridled folly — nay, they would go mad. And I may say, further, that a certain amount of care or pain or trouble is necessary for every man at all times. A ship without ballast is unstable and will not go straight."
